One of the more exciting community programmes is the Youth PATH project who targets persons aged 16 -25 and whose goals are sensitising participants to tourism awareness, heritage (natural, cultural and built), understanding and interpretation and exposure to entrepreneurial skills. Programmes such as these serve to encourage the sustainability of our heritage, culture and country.

Sustainable tourism attempts to make a low impact on the environment and local culture, while helping to generate income, employment, and the conservation of local ecosystems. It is responsible tourism which is both ecologically and culturally sensitive. It meets the needs of the present tourists and host regions while protecting and enhancing the opportunity for the future.
